We are a research laboratory at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing in Cologne, Germany. It is our goal to understand biological mechanisms that contribute to the ageing process. We think that by better understanding ageing, we can find ways to counter age-related decline and to improve health into old age.
19 September 2018: Review by Martin, Louis Lapierre (Brown University) and Hildegard Mack (Innsbruck University) was published in Mechanisms of Aging and Development: Emerging topics in C. elegans aging research: Transcriptional regulation, stress response and epigenetics
14 September 2018: Martin will be part of a panel discussion on CRISPR/Cas9 at the central library in Cologne. The public discussion will be on CRISPR/Cas9 in medicine and plant breeding. https://wonachsuchstdu.mpg.de/event/koeln/
13 September 2018: Martin is the co-organiser of our 10 year anniversary symposium at MPI AGE! This Thursday we will have a fantastic day of science to celebrate our institute. Speakers include Valter Longo, Anne Brunet, Matt Kaeberlein, Sara Wickström, Linda Partridge, Thomas Langer and Cynthia Kenyon!
