We are a research laboratory at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing in Cologne, Germany. It is our goal to understand biological mechanisms that contribute to the ageing process. We think that by better understanding ageing, we can find ways to counter age-related decline and to improve health into old age.

8-11 October 2018: Martin gave a talk at the Alexander von Humboldt funded Brazilian-German Frontiers of Science Symposium in Florianopolis, Brazil.
27 September 2018: Sabine just gave a talk at the Swiss Regio meeting about her structural work on GFAT! Now working on the manuscript!
19 September 2018: Review by Martin, Louis Lapierre (Brown University) and Hildegard Mack (Innsbruck University) was published in Mechanisms of Aging and Development: Emerging topics in C. elegans aging research: Transcriptional regulation, stress response and epigenetics

13 September 2018: Martin is the co-organiser of our 10 year anniversary symposium at MPI AGE! This Thursday we will have a fantastic day of science to celebrate our institute. Speakers include Valter Longo, Anne Brunet, Matt Kaeberlein, Sara Wickström, Linda Partridge, Thomas Langer and Cynthia Kenyon!
